I recently had the privilege of participating in the 14th season of Kansas City Fashion Week. KMBC meteorologist Neville Miller and I were in the media lounge at Kansas City's Union Station talking fashion with the designers.
I've included some photos from the evening below. And our interviews with the designers will be available on Kansas City Fashion Week's Facebook page soon!
I’m so excited to be a part of Kansas City Fashion Week’s 14th season! Neville Miller and I will be bringing you behind the scenes of the Saturday, Sept. 29 show at Union Station.
Come out to see featured designer Rachel Roy and many other wonderful designers or check KCFashionWeek.com to join the fun!
Also that night, I’ll be wearing Rachel Roy. Rachel built a ready-to-wear and accessories business into a globally recognized brand. She is also the founder of Kindness Is Always Fashionable, helping women artisans around the world create sustainable income for their families and communities. And just this year, Rachel was named a UN Women Champion for Innovation.

And of course, I'll have some small-town and second-chance romance swag, so make sure you stop by and visit me! I can't wait to see you all Oct. 13! For more information, visit Fall into Books!
I write about rain on tin roofs, gravel roads, old trucks with holes in the floorboards and small-town summer nights. I grew up on a farm in a little Midwestern town. Now, I live in Kansas City, Mo., with my weatherman husband.
