Synopsis:

One moment. One moment can shape our entire life.

One deep breath.
One slow exhale.

One painted sunrise.
One taste of forbidden love.
One word spoken too soon.
One word spoken too late.
One dance with a stranger.

One wayward memory.
One secret kept just a moment too long.

That’s all it takes.

But what I didn’t know when we locked eyes that first time was that every moment we shared was just another moment leading up to that one that would forever change the course of our lives.

It was the moment that I knew he knew. It was just a hunch, a feeling, a soft whisper to my soul. But it was in that moment—that one, life-altering instant
--that I knew I had lost him.

When Omaha-native Ashley Westcott suddenly shows up in Remington Jude’s small, Missouri town, she’s the talk of the town. When she leaves abruptly one day, the rumors fly. But only Rem knows why she left, and he’s not talking.

Sprint to the Finish!

5/13/2015

My high school has been raising funds for a track--a real one, with rubber and lanes and a start/finish line and everything! When I was there, it was a 400ish-meter oval that was half asphalt and half gravel. And if that wasn't an obstacle enough, there was a hill in the asphalt at the 300ish meter mark! Coach Tucker would always make us run up the hill so we wouldn't sprain our ankles. And thinking back, I'm glad, at least, the hill was going the right way. Otherwise, I would have learned to turn right, instead of left. (For all the non-trackees out there, in track, you always run counterclockwise around the track.)

But anyway, the project almost has enough funds, and it's only been a year! And at the end of this month, committee members will be hosting a dinner and auction! And even though I won't be able to make it to the dinner, I will be donating a basket for the silent auction, full of signed books, swag and an Amazon gift card. So, if you'd like a chance at the basket (and many other awesome auction items) AND you like a good dinner and live auction...OR if you just want to help raise some money for my alma mater's hill-less track, consider coming out to the Assumption Parish Center Friday, May 29, in New Haven, Mo. Tickets are $40 a person and can be purchased at Citizen's Bank in New Haven.

P.S. I was able to attend the event last May, and it was A LOT of fun! So, mark your calendars!

I had such a great time with all of you at the Hard Rock in Tulsa this weekend! Some of you came from as far away as Utah and Washington! And there were even some of you from Missouri! THANK YOU to all those who stopped by to visit with me. I loved meeting you, and for some of you, I loved seeing you AGAIN!

THANK YOU, Erin, Katie, Hilary and all those who worked to put on another great event! I had a blast, and I hope you all did too!
